From the beginning until now, it has had a diverse format and structure, corresponding to the epoch and to the specific medical activity. The main purpose of the journal is to transmit opinions in order to promote the specific field into the medical environment of the country, also envisioning idea-exchanges with the scientific world abroad.

At present, the Romanian Journal for Gerontology and Geriatrics is presented both in Romanian and in English, and it is devised to transmit the structures and the research and activity fields of gerontology and geriatrics of our country.
